NATIONAL NIGHT OUT: Tuesday, August 2nd from 5:30pm-8:30pm at Memorial Park
WARWICK TO JOIN CITIES NATIONWIDE FOR
‘AMERICA’S NIGHT OUT AGAINST CRIME’

On Tuesday August 2nd, neighborhoods throughout Warwick are being invited to join forces with thousands of communities nationwide for the “39 Annual National Night Out” (NNO) crime and drug prevention event.
National Night Out, which is sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch and co-sponsored locally by the Warwick Valley Prevention Coalition & The Town of Warwick Police Department, will involve over 16,400 communities from all 50 states, U.S. territories, Canadian cities and military bases around the world. National Night Out is designed to enhance relationships between community members and law enforcement. It provides a great opportunity to bring local resources and neighbors together under positive circumstances. We can all come together in a fun setting and give youth the opportunity to ask questions. The best way to build a safer community is to know your neighbors, your surroundings and your resources and NNO provides just that. National Night Out is designed to (1) Enhance crime and drug prevention awareness; (2) Generate support for, and participation in, local anti crime efforts; (3) Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police community partnerships.
From 5:30pm-8:30pm residents in Warwick and across the nation, are asked to lock their doors, turn on their lights and spend the evening outside with the neighbors and police. The Warwick Valley Prevention Coalition and the Town of Warwick Police Department are excited to announce that we will be collaborating together to bring such a fun, educational event to the community. Join us at Memorial Park for a Touch A Truck event, face painting, crafts, food, lawn games, prizes, live music and a dance party. You do not want to miss this FREE family event.

*Show your Warwick Pride by wearing Purple & Gold and prizes will be distributed for best dressed. *

We encourage our local residents, clubs, business owners or community groups to get involved by hosting an activity or booth.
